How we keep two curious pups entertained
Enrichment does not have to be complicated. Short, varied activities fit our dogs and our family routine.
Our favorite easy activities
- Sniff walks: slower walks where the dogs have time to investigate safe smells.
- Puzzle toys: supervised games that turn a snack into a problem to solve.
- Mini training sessions: a few minutes practicing familiar cues or learning something new.
- Toy rotation: keeping some toys put away makes them feel new when they return.
- Intentional rest: enrichment works best when it is balanced with calm downtime.
We choose activities based on each dog’s interest and supervise anything involving food or small parts. Every dog is different, so we adjust instead of forcing a schedule that does not fit.
